Dr. David Cherwien

workshop and hymnfest

Nationally recognized Lutheran organist and composer

David Cherwien will be presenting a two part event,

"Growing as Disciples through Worship"

on the afternoon of Saturday, September 19 at

First Lutheran Church

1234 SW Fairlawn, Topeka.

This workshop will begin at 1:00PM, with a presentation and discussion led by

Dr. Cherwien, about the place and role of music in worship from

Lutheran and broader perspectives. It will conclude at 2:15PM.

The second part of this program will feature David Cherwien as the festival organist for a Hymn Fest beginning at 3:30PM in the church sanctuary. The festival will be a hymn and readings journey through the church year.

Everyone is invited to join us for this Hymn Fest.

A celebration reception will be held immediately after the conclusion of the hymnfest.
